Three neighbourhoods, four mornings, and a list of names we have been visiting for three years.
The blanket round is the least complicated thing we do and the one volunteers ask to join most often. You load a van before dawn, you knock on doors you knocked on last year, and you sit down for ten minutes in each one.
The ten minutes is the point. Most of the people on the winter list live alone. The blanket is the reason to be there.
